Originating in Bordeaux France, Merlot
is named for the little black birds of the region. Either because the Merlot grapes are small and black like the birds, or because the birds love eating the grapes.
Preceded by an elegant fruity character with hints of plum and spice, Merlot wine is revered for its smooth, silky finish.
Pairs well with lamb, asiago cheese, baba ganoush, pork chops, mushroom sauces & roast beef.
