Tariff talk has recently heated up between Canada and the U.S. The temperature again rose when Ontario (LCBO) stopped selling US made wines and spirits in the province. We want to assure you that we are staying on top of developments and keeping you informed. At this time, there are no changes, that affect us directly but things are somewhat fluid.

There has been a strong response to these unprovoked US - trade tariffs imposed on Canada. We have heard from many annoyed customers who are avoiding US wines at TVW. We have seen an increase in overt Canada Pride (specifically the type without the rainbow). The succinct excerpt below is from one of our suppliers.

More importantly, these Craft Wines are produced in Canada and are then made at independent retailers like The Village Winemaker, across communities throughout Canada.

We are proudly Canada-First and will gladly help you to find replacement wines for you.
