Dear Friends and Fellow Winemakers, We will be closing up for Holiday Season.

We are closed from Sunday, December 24th. Re-opening on Tuesday, January 2024.

Thank you for your patronage we wish you and you family A Very Happy Christmas and a Spectacular New Year!

In 2024 we will be rolling out a new Customer Appreciation and Referral Program and Celebrating our 25th Year Anniversary!

Ein Stein Wine House Has Closed It's Doors

Ein Stein Wine House has closed its doors.
Although a competitor, we are sad to see any business close. We wish them well.

Established in 1992, Ein Steins was one of the "Original" winemaking establishments and have been around for a long time.

Ein Stein's were sold last year to someone who has an established winemaking store in Mississauga. Rising expenses caused the closure, although the store in Mississauga, (Cawthra area) is still in operation.

If you know any Ein Stein customers who are looking for a new place to make wine, we would be happy to have them join us at The Village Winemaker.

Any referrals who mention your name, will receive $15 off their first batch at The Village Winemaker. We will also send you a $15 off coupon for your next batch at The Village Winemaker.

"Alcohol Tax Increase. Alcohol Price Increase?"

We have received numerous calls and questions about retail wine, beer and liquor price increases.
My understanding at this point is that the Federal Excise Tax on liquor, wine and beer is due to increase by 6.3% starting April 1st, 2023.
This according to Curiocity

"Therefore, any retail price increases are on a product-by-product basis and determined by beverage alcohol producers."

The Village Winemaker prices will not be affected by these increases.

Recognizing many challenges, we have kept our prices as low as possible. increasing an average of $9 per batch. (New price list attached)

New prices will range between $4.75 and $8.16 per bottle for hand crafted vintages. This includes all taxes and standard labels.

Aches & Pains? Sacred Salve pain relief back in stock!

Originating in Bordeaux France, Merlot is named for the little black birds of the region. Either because the Merlot grapes are small and black like the birds, or because the birds love eating the grapes.
