This newsletter has been a long time coming. I would like to thank everyone for helping us to make it to this, our 25th Year.
We had our 25th Year Celebration at the end of June. It was our very first event on Kerr Street and well attended. We welcomed Mayor Rob Burton and Kerr Street BIA, Doug Sams who had some very nice words to say about our achievement.
Article: Oakville winemaker celebrates 25 years in business
To all of our customers who attended and those who could not make it in, we appreciate your business, and your caring support over the years. Ray, Jimmy & Nada, Suba & Chris, Monika, Tony, Meg & Naj. Chris, Di, and so many others, you have become our family away from home. You are the reason why we do this.
As you all know, an event and an operation like ours does not happen without the significant efforts of an entire team. Anthony who has not been able to spend much time at the shop was at our 25th party. That was his first "event" for a while and we are happy that he was able to attend.
Congratulations to all our prize winners: Phil, Suba, Pat, Peter and Carmine!!!
I feel blessed to work with people like Peta, Helen, Christa and Leann. I am grateful for each of you and appreciate the hard work you do on behalf of our customers. I hinted at a Special Guest in my last newsletter, you may know by now that it is the one and only Sharon! You may remember that originally from England she graced our establishment for a number of years harassing customers and staff alike..."keeping us all in-line" like the inner Sargent Major she is. I am amazed and grateful for how seamlessly Sharon and Peta took charge and basically ran the event. I can follow instructions:-)
We are hoping for another 25 years of serving you. In the next newsletters we will be talking about wine specials before Christmas as well as our next events.
Stay tuned lots more to come...
Sincerely,
John Seaga &
The Village Winemaker Team
